York, population 7,825, is the county seat of York County. York sits at the intersection of the I-80 and Highway 81 corridors with Highway 34 just a short drive north of town. York Public Schools is a K-12 school system that also partners with Blue Valley Community Action to offer a preschool program. There are also two parochial school options, Emmanuel Faith Lutheran School which offers preschool and K-8, and St. Joseph Catholic School which also offers preschool and K-8.
